Eileen has been in private practice since 2006. Prior to earning her Master of Social Work and her license to practice independently, she spent more than a decade in the US Army, and was a top sales rep for a surgical technology subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) phone counselor for a global mental health services provider.
She specializes in the areas of relationships, trauma, anxiety (including phobias) and addiction treatment.
Eileen applies several evidence-based treatment modalities to her work with clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
The quality of the relationship between client and therapist is extremely important to success. Eileen knows that one-size doesn’t fit all when it comes to providing effective therapy. She works with each client, individually, to understand the core issues that person seeks to change, and tailors her approach to fit the unique style and specific goals of each client.
